Drainfield and Leach Field Installation

Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Ocala

The drainfield is where the treated effluent finally returns to the soil, so it has to be sized right and set level. Safetyinconstructionshow builds gravel trench and plastic chamber absorption fields across Ocala and Marion County, each one sized from the perc rate so wastewater disperses without surfacing or backing up toward the house.

Why the Perc Rate Decides Everything

A drainfield that is too small for the soil will fail, and effluent surfacing in the yard is both a health hazard and a code violation. The soil percolation test tells us how fast the ground accepts water, and the seasonal high water table tells us how much vertical separation we have. On a tight lot near SE Maricamp Road, those numbers may point to a chamber system or an engineered design rather than a standard trench.

Our Process

We run or review the perc test, submit the drainfield design for the Marion County health department, and excavate the trenches to the permitted depth and length. Washed aggregate or gravelless chambers go in over filter fabric, the distribution box splits the flow evenly across every lateral, and we call for the county inspection before any cover soil is placed. That keeps your as built record accurate for resale.
